How Much Money Game of Thrones Actors Make Per Episode?

September 22, 2017 by admin

Game of thrones is a successful show, and has secured the most ratings. Over 10 million US viewers were recorded for each episode in season 7, and that are only the live viewers.

Most people watch them later, and many are in other countries that are not accounted for. And then there are people who download the show over internet from torrents etc.

Do the math, and the result will be huge.

Talking about the budget, initial seasons of Game of Thrones used around $50 million. The budget has gone up to over $100 million for Season 6 and 7. Still they drop out stuff to keep it under budget.

Let’s cut it out short, and find out how much the game of thrones actors actually make.
Show’s main cast has been divided into 2 groups.

The category A has 5 actors, who are being paid the most, and recently negotiated the deal. Combined, they make just over $2.5 million in total. Who are they?

  1. First is Emilia Clarke who plays Daenerys Targaryen. She is most probably going to be the queen soon. She makes around $500,000 an episode.
  2. Second in the Category A is Kit Harington who plays Jon Snow. He has been dead once, or may be twice after recently he was drowned into the icy cold lake and remained under it for few minutes. He also makes around $500,000 for each episode.
  3. Third is Peter Dinklage who plays Tyrion Lannister. In real life his story is quite fascinating. He also makes $500,000 for an episode, and we will be seeing him with the lead roles during the next season as well.
  4. Forth is Lena Headey, the Cersei Lannister, the current queen. In season 6 she took the power again and now one of the main cast of game of thrones. She also makes around $500,000 an episode.
  5. Last in the Group A is Nikolaj Coster-Waldau who plays the role of Jamie Lannister. He has been leading the recent wars, and might side with the opposite side in the next season. He is also in the $500,000 an episode group.

Before season 7, they were said to make an average of $300,000 an episode each.

In November 2016, a Hollywood reporter also reported that they each will make $1.1mil each episode for Season 7 and 8, which is now proved untrue.

Second highly paid group is Group B, which consists of many actors. It is still not known who makes into this group, but we know some actors who are in this Group.

  1. First is Maisie Williams who plays Arya Stark. She is my favorite and many would agree that she should be among the Category A cast. But I think because of her age, she has not been able to negotiate the high payouts.
  2. Second is her sister Sansa Stark, which is played by Sophie Turner. She is also the consistent cast of the show, and has been recently seen with a powerful role.
  3. The third known actor in this category B is Natalie Dormer, the Margaery Tyrell. Though, she might never be seen again, she was in this Group while she was part of the show.

It is still not known how much the Group B actors actually make. It is for sure less than $500,000 an episode, but far more than other cast who are in Category C.

7 Ways to Kill The Ice Dragon

September 9, 2017 by admin

In season 7 we witnessed the Jon Snow and company stuck beyond the wall and daenerys coming to help them. Unfortunately viserion, one of dany’s dragons, was hunted by the Night King. It drowned into the lake and later pulled back and converted into an Ice Dragon by the night king.

Though, we are still unsure on what kind of dragon it currently is. Is it like white walkers or something else entirely?

We also saw its power when it broke the wall that stood for centuries and known to have magic in it. This has changed the whole game. Defeating the dead is not possible without defeating this dragon now.

Even seas and islands cant save them now since Night King can fly and wreak havoc upon them easily.

There are only few known ways white walkers can be killed. I assume that Viserion is the same and can be killed through one of those means.

1. Fire

White walkers are known to be killed by fire. We have seen it already on numerous occasions in the past seasons. Fire even helped kill the Ice Bear in Season 7. We also saw Beric killing many of white walkers with his lightning sword. And then we saw Jon demonstrating it in the Grand Meeting.

Although we are not sure if Fire can actually kill the Ice Dragon as well. At least we can agree that it can harm it to some extent, and make it weaker. A possibility is an arrow with fire to be fire at that ice dragon just like one that brought drogon down.

A man powerful enough like Night King can throw an arrow at it too. Just as the Night King did to Viserion.

2. Other Dragons

Second and the most believable way to kill the Ice Dragon would be other dragons killing the Ice Dragon. The dragon fire can surely harm more than the normal fire. And Drogon is strong enough with powerful teeth to tear Viserion apart.

Dragons are usually considered a killing machine with no emotions. But these dragons have had the love of their mother, and they might feel hesitant in attacking Viserion. Daenerys will also have to make this hard choice one day. If they show any hesitation, they will be gone.

3. Dragon Glass

Third known option is the Dragon Glass. Jon Snow had been mining lots of it. It can kill White Walkers, and if it can be attached to the arrow large and powerful enough to kill a dragon, it can harm Viserion severely, and could even kill it.

We might see more use of Dragon Glass in some other form. As Sam has been reading about it, he might have discovered something that could help create a new kind of weapon that could help target both white walkers and the ice dragon. Just like wildfire did to people.

4. Drown into Water

Forth Option would be to drown the ice dragon into water. For that they will need to bring it down.

When Jon Snow with his friends went beyond the wall and got stuck on a small island, many white walkers fell into the melting ice lake and died. This assures them that water can kill the Ice Dragon as well.

Ice Dragon might be flying over the ocean soon. And If they do something from the ships, they may bring it down just like Drogon was hit by an arrow.

But, flying over oceans mean that wights will have captured huge territory. This would make fighting them more difficult as their numbers will also be growing.

5. Valyrian Steel

Number five, The Valyrian Steel, that can kill white walkers. It might also kill the Ice Dragon.

But for this, either they will have to make a valyrian arrow, or approach the ice dragon closely to attack it with a sword.

I won’t be easy to just approach viserion and the Night King this way. The best bet is to use Valyrian Steel arrows.

Hopefully Sam has something on it as well. He might have the actual formula for creating the valyrian steel now. If he has it, it will be a huge plus for them.

6. Wild Fire

Number six is Wild Fire. We have seen on 2 instances it has been used. Very recent was when Cersei took her revenge and killed almost every enemy she had there. Wild fire is really destructive, and it can bring down whole army of wights. But how can it kill Viserion? Again, they will have to convert it into some kind of weapon that could hit the Ice Dragon.

Or, they could trap the Ice Dragon within some closed structure, or make it into a bomb to have an impact in the air.

That wild fire though, can also harm their cities and kill many of the people. And it would have to be used very carefully.

I personally think, they might use it, but not on Viserion. It would surely kill many of the white walkers.

7. Kill The Night King

Number 7, the most difficult of all, is to kill the Night King. This is the toughest thing they can do. But if they do it, it can bring down all white walkers, white Giants, and the Ice Dragon.

We have already seen in the past that killing a white commander also destroys all wights he had created. Since all wights were created by the Night King, we can expect that wights and the Ice Dragon would vanish instantly.

But Killing the Night King, it looks easy on paper, but very much impossible while he has the Ice Dragon. Drogon might help with this, or the large Dragon Glass Arrows with Fire on them could kill him. But we are not really sure what other powers the Night King has.

The Endgame Begins with Night King on Viserion and Littlefinger Dead

August 28, 2017 by admin

Hope you enjoyed 1 and half hour Finale full of thrill.

And most unfortunate thing happened was the night king flying viserion, who broke the wall with blue fire. The wall was supposed to have the magic, and it stood for centuries.. But it couldn’t stand a chance against a dragon.

Night king now has the most powerful army. With giants, and the dragon, hes simply impossible to defeat with the tools we are currently aware of.

Cersei did what shes known for. She didn’t even spare her brother Jamie. She took a huge risk. Dead or Dragons would come for them soon. I wish she hadn’t done it. Why is she so selfish?

Anyways, now what they have are Dragon Glass, and the Fire spitting dragons. Do you think it would be enough to kill that huge army of dead? They have breached the wall, and now there is nothing stopping them.

How are they going to kill the ice dragon? And how are they going to control those giants? Something else has to be there. The fire and dragon glass alone cant defeat them.

For this, I hope Bran and Sam would comeup with something. This is now a mystery for which we have to wait another year to solve.

We also see Beric and Tormund at the wall while the wall is collapsing. Looks like Tormund is gone.

What happens to Beric? Would he survive? With good things happening in the show, bad things happen more often. Things would turn out even more interesting in the next season.

The Death of Baelish

We expected littlefinger’s death soon in the next season, but it went so easy in the end.

With all his smart plans, and him playing against stark sisters, it was so heart-wrenching. We all hated to see Sansa being used by him this way. As she said herself, she is a slow learner, but she learns.

With everything going perfectly as littlefinger wished, the court suddenly moved against Baelish. He was shocked to see this happening. With the support of Bran, how could he have escaped this?

The deaths of Ned Stark, Jon Arryn, and Aunt Lyssa. And the betrayal of Caitlin Stark and then Sansa, he was sentenced to death by Sansa finally.

It was well executed by the cold-blooded-murder Arya Stark. As expected, she didn’t hesitate for a second. Though, I was expecting her killing littlefinger some other way. Anyways, he met his fate, and left the Starks happy together.

How I Predicted Littlefinger’s Death and Possibilities in Season 7 Finale (Not so Perfect)

August 26, 2017 by admin

Note: Not everything happened as predicted, but it was an interesting read.

My take on Arya Stark killing Baelish:

I discussed on youtube a possibility that Arya Stark might kill Lord Petyr Baelish finally.

We all know that baelish is one of the smartest and the most clever person in game of thrones, who has always found a way to dodge others and move up the ladder. He never does anything that doesn’t benefit him in some way. He has betrayed almost everyone around him, and he can harm anyone for his good.

He is a really good planner, and we never get to know all his plans before they are executed.

We watched in initial seasons that he was jealous of Ned Stark, since he wanted to marry Caitlin. He had a role to play in Ned’s death. He tricked cerise to force Sasna write to Ned, which now he is using to cause differences among Arya and Sansa.

Do you remember when someone tried to kill Bran with a dagger? It was most probably baelish behind it. As recently Bran received that dagger as a gift from Baelish, he asked him if he knows to whom this dagger belong to? Interestingly in the past, baelish maintained that it belonged to tyrion lannister, but he refused to have any information about that.

Even more interestingly, bran knows everything that has happened in the past. He probably knows that baelish had a role in that too. And he must have some clues about his involvement in Ned’s death.

Bran repeated the conversation between barlish and varys where baelish talked about chaos and how it helps him gain more power. The reaction of baelish was astonishing. He was shocked to hear Bran repeat his own words.

“Choas is a Ladder”

Baelish has been showing some loyalty to Sansa. But he was the one who sold Sansa out to Boltons. What Ramsay did to her is unforgivable. If baelish was so serious about her, why would he do that. And now we have seen that he is using the old message of Sansa to create differences with Arya.

Clearly he is playing against Jon here. He expected to control winterfell if Sansa was to become the rightful head of the north. But things didn’t go as he expected. Jon snow is now the king in the north.

And he must get rid of him. That’s the only way he can grab some power here.

Its all so well connected. Baelish had tried to create differences between Tyrion and Starks after he claimed that the dagger was owned by Tyrion. Unfortunate for him, Jon and Tyrion actually respect eachother. Another setback for Baelish.

He even pushed Aunt Lysa Arryn to death. The woman he claimed to love and successfully able to get her trust. Sansa kept quiet and used this to get the support of Baelish in the war. But she isn’t that dumb as she pretends. She also knows him well. And she knows that Baelish in not the one who could be trusted.

Then why is she following him blindly now? We will know this for sure very soon. And I hope she wouldn’t disappoint us fans.

Bran stark knows what Baelish is upto and how he is playing against stark girls now. He might come to the rescue.

We are not sure if he can see the future yet. May be he has got a grip on it too now. If he has, it would be even more interesting. Since he gifted that dagger to Arya now. He probably knows the best use of it would be to avenge the Baelish.

Arya with her long training with faceless men and tough tests in life, has now become a cold blooded murderer. She would not think for a second before taking anyone’s life now. And she hates Baelish as much as everyone else.

If somehow she gets a clue that Baelish is behind recent misunderstandings, or he had a role in destroying the starks, should would happily kill Baelish. There is no way baelish can escape this.

Even better, if Bran shares something with Arya which is worth looking into, it may help her take a decision against Baelish quickly.

When will it happen? I believe Baelish will continue to disrupt the north while the King in the north Jon Snow is out in the open, and going to meet Cersie. Baelish will have interesting role to play and keep the viewers busy.

I think, in the start of season 8, and most probably before the great war with the dead, Baelish will meet his fate.

Game of Thrones Season 7 Finale Deaths & Predictions

Lets first talk about the promo. There is going to be a grand alliance between the only 2 important sides now. Meanwhile, the white walker Jon Snow and the company captured beyond the wall would be arriving with Hound.

As you know that Daennarys has brought her whole two armies; the unsullied and the dothorakis. Both are ready to take the charge if anything goes wrong or a trap is found.

Cersei for sure wanted a trap, but we are not sure how. She is clever enough not to kill herself. And she wouldn’t do anything that could result in such during the meeting an an alliance.

Now She should have the truth about white walkers and the real threat they all are facing. Shes left with no other choice but to fight against the dead. She might plan to assassinate daenarys or kill her dragons. But she would also have to make sure the dead are defeated first.

Interestingly, we don’t see daennarys in the meeting during the promo. I believe she will make a dramatic entrance riding her dragon. And this is going to make a solid impact. Exactly what she wants to do.

The story as it is going, some of these 4 people are going to be dead in Finale.

We saw Theon Grejoy in the promo, but we have no clue about her sister Yara. His uncle is not seen torturing her or anything. Most probably shes dead. Theon has come to realize his mistakes and needs the redemption.

Second is Beric. He has lived 6 lives, but now he has no one who could bring him alive again. I think this is going to be the end for him.

Third is Hound. He has returned with the white walker. He has faced enough already. And I don’t see any role for him. If hes not killed by someone before the great war, he wont survive the war with the dead.

Lastly, Littlefinger is going to die soon. He may see the end in this final episode. Or He would be killed by Arya at the start of season 8.

The finale has an Interesing title as well. “Dragon and the wolf”. You might think its about daenarys and Jon. But clearly, it is only related to Jon alone. As we have seen, he is the legitimate son of Rhaegar Targeryan and Lyanna Stark. He is half wolf and half dragon.

This episode should reveal it to Jon as well. I’m expecting enough time given to this as well. This story needs some movement, and now is the right time.

We haven’t seen sam and gilly in a while. They may arrive with this information. Or Bran might disclose it first.

On the other side, Baelish may make some move and create more differences among stark sisters. He might plan something against Bran now. Bran is too dangerous for littlefinger.

Coming back to the grand alliance, I strong believe they will make one. But it will be with the lack of trust, and cersei will never miss an opportunity for harming dragons or Daennarys.

On the other side of wall, night king has viserion, the ice dragon. He also has giants, and he might have white elephants. He has a really strong army with him now.

But how will he cross the wall? There is a magic in there. His Dragon might help him break that magic. Or, Sam and Bran might find something that could stop him there.

In past episode I talked about Bran being the night king. I really hope its not true. We can’t see him turn into him. This would be heartbreaking for us.

Is Bran Stark Really The Night King? [Game of Thrones Fan Theory]

August 22, 2017 by admin

So many people are sharing the theory about Bran stark being the night king. But does it really have truth to it?
Well, there are many things that go in favour of this theory. And there are many things that force us to believe that its just an assumption and never going to happen.

There are two common theories related to the night king. One theory is that the Night King is one of Starks, but not Bran himself.

And the second is that Bran is the Night King himself.

We all know that the children of forest created the first white walker. It was the human hero who was converted into night king.

Many are convinced that heroes in the north have always been starks. They have been taking part in wars, and usually have held the respect among people. And since this guy took the glass dagger and became white, this makes the night king one of starks.

It can be argued that it was in the past, and Bran is in the present. Then how come Bran can be the night king?

I will discuss some convincing points now that led me to believe in it.

First, lets discuss what we already know.

we know that Bran can enter into someone else’s body and see through him.

We also know that Bran can Control anyone through it.

And We know that Bran can travel in time. And even control people from different time. Remember THE HODOR?

Strangely, even people can feel him during his time travel. His father Ned could hear him. And night king could even hold his wrist. Wow! Thats crazy!

Do you remember what the three eyed raven told Bran? You will never walk but you will fly!

One theory is that he didnt mean flying actually. He meant flying to any time and place. Yes thats for sure, he can do that. What other things can he fly?
He can fly as birds. But he could do it even before he became the three eyed raven. What else is there to fly? Dragons!

But will he really fly the dragon? How can he do this?

One of the danys’s dragon has just been hunted by the night king, and has become the white walker dragon, or the ice dragon. Whatever you like calling it.

But how can BRAN fly that dragon? Yes, you got it right. He has to be the night king to be able to fly that blue eyed white walker ice dragon.

And that is absolutely possible.

Bran most probably travelled to the different time in the past, and then the children of forest caught him. Leaf put the dragon glass into Bran. She could not recognize him since he looked different than his younger self.

Did you notice the reaction of Bran when he is visualizing this. He is exactly in the identical position as is one receiving the glass dagger into his chest. His facial reaction is the same. His arms are in the same position. Looks like he is feeling the same pain.

But how the Night king can walk and Bran can not?

Well, Bran has always been walking while he is in the different time if you have noticed. That means, he can walk if he travelled to some other time, stuck there, and became the night king.

The Three Eyed Raven once told Bran: I have told you many times, stay too long where you don’t belong, and you will never return.

What do you guy think? Will this actually happen to Bran? We will know this soon. Till that, keep your fingers crossed.

Thank you for being with me. See you next time!
